Spending holidays in Rovinj can be hard. It means that you are limited to use your car in the city. Instead, you should rent a vintage bike or a Vespa, or you can go everywhere around on foot, completely stressless, and arrive in 15 minutes. You have to eat tons of tasty Mediterranean food, drink Istrian wins just a few meters from the sea and enjoying beach and sun all day long. It could be hard, isn’t it?
These were some of the reasons why Ana and Horst, a cute couple from Graz, Austra, fell in love with Rovinj, that much they decided, after ten years of relationship, to get married here in Istria. They invited their family and a lot of friends to Rovinj, so they can witness and share their celebration of love.
It was a warm sunny day of July; Horst just arrived by boat to the Rovinj pier and jumped on the Puch vintage bike along with his two best-mans, and they went for a ride until his beloved Ana was getting ready with her girls and their beautiful little daughter Milena. After romantic “first look” moment and gathering with other guests, a complete wedding procession went to the church St.Euphemia on the top of Rovinj old city. After the church ceremony, they had another, the civil one. It was short&sweet ring exchange, and it was held right across Rovinj, on the St.Catherine Island, where was the wedding reception and party organized.
It wasn’t easy at all to organize this wedding with two ceremonies on two different locations, but their wedding planner Martina along with her assistant made this wedding perfectly well-timed and easy going. Amazing job!
One of the coolest highlights of this wedding was the “stealing the bride” moment. Horst`s friends “kidnaped” Ana for an hour, bordered her on the transfer ship and went to Rovinj, where they had a toast with champagne. Lot of them.
Did they all enjoy? Take a look at their wedding photo story.
