Motovun, a small medieval hilltop town in the heart of Istria region has a breathtaking view of the vineyards and Mirna valley. With amazing fortress and the old Mediterranean spirit, for sure is one of the most attractive in Croatia, and in my opinion, a perfect location for destination weddings.
Emma and Sandro, a Swedish-Croatian couple from Stockholm, decided to celebrate their wedding inside Hotel Kastel , located on the central square. The specialty of the hotels garden, other than beautiful greenery, is in its privacy, what makes the perfect venue for wedding ceremonies.
Their wedding celebration started with the rehearsal party on the evening before in the local Fakin winery where winery where they gathered all their families and friends for awarded wine tasting.
Everything about this wedding was very well organized with perfect timing. After getting ready, a bride and groom met each other in the vineyards below Motovun; it was a romantic first look moment and a little hangout with their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The ceremony was held in the Swedish language so I must confess that I didn’t understand a word, but my 2nd shooter Matija and I captured some joy tears in eyes, so we are pretty sure the vows were honest and emotional.
Dinner was under the string lights on the hotel’s terrace, including a lot of speeches and toasts, small games for guests and a funny video projection made by their friends. And then the party started! Enjoy the gallery.
